A story of kindness during The Sundance Film Festival
One thing i love ,that I have found that happens, during The Sundance Film Festival. Is the Kindness and goodness of strangers.Since 2004, i have never witness any unkind act,or harsh words or violence of any kind during my Sundance experience..I think it is just a time, that everyone who goes, is just devoted to the Film experience.and what the Sundance Film Festival has to offer. And just a passion for movies! Too bad the world isn't more like that.I have experienced so many acts of kindness,as it was directed to me. It would be too many to even talk about in this blog.so i will just mention one.
As my first day of The Sundance Film Festival, was wrapping up.I noticed that my cell phone battery was nearly dead. OH Boy,this is not good,I still had to make the 40 plus mile trek back to where i would be staying with family. For safety purposes i would feel much better,if i had some cell phone battery power.I walked up Main street in Park City,looking for a place that i could recharge my phone. Sadly ,every place was closed for a private party or just closed.As I continued walking, I noticed a Keller Williams Real Estate office with the lights on. I walked in and asked the gentlemen inside, if i could give my cell phone a recharge,with a warm smile, The man answered with a yes! and we introduced ourselves and talked.
I really like to talk with people and develop Friendships, and just get to know other people a little better.
As we talked a little about Sundance and about Real Estate,it was just like talking with a good friend.The man is Scott Larson and i could see he was really dedicated to working his Real Estate business.Even during a very busy Film Festival. I really liked that he wasn't pushy about trying to "sell" me on some Real Estate. Truth is, i do someday want to own a Condo in Park City.I have been going to The Sundance Film Festival since 2004 and have fell in love with Park City.I need to go during the summer and check it out in a different season.
I also asked if he had looked into Social Media and Twitter,and he said he hadn't.I told him it was a great way to connect to people,and share his business. I noticed after i had came back home ,that he has recently started a twitter account! Way to go Scott!
I just wanted to send a little thank you to Scott and give a shout out to his business.I found that his kindness was genuine, and i think in someway,even if we never meet up in person again, we will have a continued friendship via the Internet.And definitely, if i ever get to the point that i want to start looking for that Condo,then i know i will have a friend that can help me with whatever questions and help that i may need.

The movie posters were created in 1890 by French painter and lithographer Jules Cheret for a short film called “Projections Artistiques” and the other a Theater program called “Pantomines Lumineuses”. Most of the early film posters were signs with block text announcing the title, producer, and director. As the movie industry began to grow, studios realized the marketing value of creating colourful artwork that depicted scenes from their movies to promote the films and bring in more viewers.
1896 marks the first time a poster would be made for a specific movie, and not just a movie company. The famous “L’Arrouseur Arrose” (“The waterer watered”), generally considered the first fiction movie ever made, features a short gag of a young boy tricking a gardener into spraying himself, and his consequential punishment.

MorningStar Burger Bar at The Sundance Film Festival 2013
During the Sundance Film Festival Morningstar Farms was giving away free food during the whole Festival,everyone thought what was the catch? Once i heard about it, I had the opportunity to eat there twice! in fact i would have gladly paid for a burger.but free always tastes better,for some reason!I have always enjoyed Morningstar products,so This was a must stop place. I had the Mediterranean burger on both days in Park City! I took my daughter Sadie on Saturday,who just loved it! "Dad,we have to make these at home"
Morningstar was doing this during Sundance,to let people try the product,and encourage everyone to "go meatless" on Mondays! I just think you won over thousands of new customers! More companies should do this!way to go Morningstar! I think they should open Veggie Burger Bar franchises everywhere. I would own one if i could!

I told him "i am a Just a small voice trying to spread the word",and he said Slamdance was also another "small voice" Who knows maybe next year i can spend the whole festival working with Peter and the Slamdance crew!

The Sundance Film Festival day 1 1/18/2013
he was in Sundance for a new film "Mud" I told him i really enjoyed his work,and he warmly appreciated that! I wish we would have had more time to talk,just a really nice guy! Thanks Ray!
Gael was at Sundance for a documentary he produced "Who Is Dayani Cristal?" that kicked off the festival!
when i first noticed him everyone was trying to get a picture,i asked for one but he politely said "not now,maybe later" I was sure i wasn't Going to get one with him.Later he reappeared down by the street where i was,i looked at him and he said give me a moment i have to use the restroom.was he just trying to blow me off? he came back out and nodded at me and i was able to get a picture.he was just really nice and it was just a quite encounter.I later saw him again at the Chase Sapphire building and he gave a little wave and smile to me.

This was a very happy surprise for me to walk in and find. I wish they would do this every year,but on a much larger scale! My favorite exhibits are the “Napoleon Dynamite” and "Garden State"

More Sundance tips Part 2
8. Leave your children at home! i have watched many a frustrated parent dealing with cold,tired hungry children. and nothing can and will ruin a great festival experience,not just for you but everyone else around you. I remember riding the free transit bus only to see a poor,cold family trying to push a stroller in the slushy sidewalk with no coats on themselves, and the bus driver stopping and picking them up to take them farther to their car. I have to say this again! kids especially young ones, do not belong at Sundance! get a babysitter or ?
9.Write down where you parked your car!this is important as well as write down the bus you are taking,you will need to remember that information when you need to go back to where you parked your car, or where you are staying so take .a small notebook and a pen.
10.Take along your cell phone cord.you may need to recharge that phone and just keep it in your backpack.i have witnessed too many people asking if anyone had a cord.Dead phones are no good,but that happens from time to time.
11.Chapstick another good thing to take is a good lip moisturizer. with the dry cold weather. no one likes dry chapped lips.
12.Go and check out New Frontier!
13.Have fun!I have many other tips and secrets but,I will not share them with you.like a great fishing spot,you never tell about them and keep em to yourself. just take alot of pictures have fun,go see movies if you can, and enjoy! that is what The Sundance Film Festival is all about!

Sundance Film Festival tips and just good advice
I have been attending The Sundance Film Festival since 2004,and i have learned so much, obviously in that time. Below I would like to share some advice, and tips to make you Sundance experience just a little more enjoyable.
1. Park City is cold! It is January and winter SO BE SMART! Many of you will come from places that you may have never experienced snow and cold. so get a good coat. and think layers! you can always take them off if you get too hot.the opposite is being too cold, and if you have nothing to add then you will not be having a great festival experience. So go with a shirt +fleece+coat.and do not forget a winter beanie cap or good warm hat and glovesand maybe buy some hand warmers!
2.Boots! a good waterproof boot with good wool socks will be a difference between you and the cold and slushy roads in Park City! i have watched too many people wear tennis shoes and step right into a big slushy puddle of water. it is hard to recover from that,unless you have money to go into the nearest store in Park City and buy boots.Break them in a bit before hand,or you may get sore feet! Think Ahead!
3.Bring a backpack or bag to carry stuff in.THIS IS SO VALUABLE. if it gets warmer you can place your hat and gloves or that extra layer inside and free your hands. also you can add extra snacks and water.etc.
4.Snacks this is very important.you will be out and about for along time and you will not be able to find something really quick sometimes.some places will be very busy and other times you may be getting out of one movie and hurrying to the next not having time to eat anything.I like to carry energy bars,string cheese, a sandwich,nuts and maybe fruit etc. this has saved me so many times and i also have Insulin resistance so i know my body and what i need to do to keep it fueled. Be smart.
5.Know where you can find a restroom! they have one on the outside of main street,one inside a old mall building and a few others.and one up at the main street transit bus stop.good to know when you got to go!remember that many,many other people will be in attendance and you will be dealing with them as well.
6.Drink lots of water!you are at a higher elevation and with the cold it can make you dehydrated.go down main street and at the major intersection on the west end north corner is Britra: Filter for Good
water station and you can get a free reusable water bottle!
7.Have a camera ready!you will run into celebrities! this is a major bonus with attending such a big Festival as Sundance!checkout this lame video i made in 2009 on what to do if you meet a celebrity lol

will this be the biggest event in the history of The Sundance Film Festival?
Next weekend is the Kickoff of The Sundance Film Festival! It actually starts a day or two before,but that is when most of the "Stars" arrive in Park City,Utah (i will also be there!) the biggest names in show business, and alot of lesser know names will be in, and around the city with Film promotions,events,concerts parties ect. the whole world will be watching!
With all of that,something even bigger is going to happen. Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic,and Pat Smear all remaining members, of the my favorite band Nirvana! will be having a Sound City Players concert.This in itself, is a very big event! What is also happening, a few days later is that the wife of Kurt Cobain (lead singer of the band Nirvana,who committed suicide in 1994) Courtney Love will also be in Park City for a concert she is doing.

So I think this will be the biggest event of The Sundance Film Festival ,if they all run into each other,which Park City is a small town, and the chances of it happening are very good.odds are yes!
Big deal you say,em think again! they all use to get along just great, and even Dave Grohl was at Kurt and Courtney's wedding in Hawaii see below photo.
But sometime shortly after that,only Dave and Courtney really know the real details, Let's just say they did not get along very well at present, and i could speculate and share rumours to lenghty, for this blog post.They have been or i should say that Courtney has been very vocal about Dave and Krist and the relationship and part they had in Nirvana and with Kurt Cobain!
I think this is going to go either of three ways!
1. no run in whatsoever! Courtney may arrive in Park City after Dave has already left?or they just will not run into each other.in such a small town.
2.they will meet!and Sparks and words will fly from Courtney and the media will all be there to catch it all!the media will have a frenzy and it will be the biggest story out of Sundance.which will overshadow all of the great Films coming out at Sundance!
3.Now, this is what i hope happens. Courtney will finally just FORGIVE and if she is practicing Chanting and Buddhist related stuff, like she tweets about sometimes,then she could use some of that practice and let be over with.STOP! the feuding and name calling ect. Let It Rest Courtney! Kurt would want that now.and it is a new year! let 2013 be the year it all ends!
For number 3 to happen,and the forgiveness to start. I think it would be best if Courtney reached out to Dave and Krist before Sundance and just apologize for all the past "STUFF" and move on from it. so then if they do run into each other, it will be a good polite encounter. and it would be great if Courtney and her Daughter Frances, could also go to Park City together. (that is another blog post in itself)
I would love to see a reconciliation from them all and who knows? maybe Dave and Courtney could reconcile, and invite each to each others concerts,to go on stage and sing a Nirvana song or two?
Let's hope for the best!

Meter Maids web series
Already with a total of 16 hilarious episodes. "Meter Maids" is the brain child of Peter Podgursky (Cheerbleeders),and is co produced by Cindy Fang, who together created Grumpy Panda Films.
"Meter Maids" is already gaining a cult status and has been featured with other videos from Grumpy Panda Films on shows like Funny or Die, Slash Film, Racialicious, Obvious Winner, Freddy in Space, Channel APA, and Dread Central.
What is unique about "Meter Maids" and that I find really cool, is that every episode features one or more guest stars, who have an online fan base. I love this because you can showcase other people and thier talents. Guest stars have included Michael Rousselet, Kelsey Gunn, and Paul Prado (5 Second Films); Ponce and Scott Perry (The Retarded Policeman) adult film star, Mika Tan, MC Meals on Wheels, Rebecca Addelman (Upright Citizens Brigade); stand up comedians, Reese Waters, Jeff Peterson, and Peyton Clarkson;and The King of Clowns, Clownvis Presley.
"Meter Maids" follows a group of four traffic officers, as they strive to make the streets of Los Angeles safe from parking offenders.They have funny episodes about,a unhappy coworker who has braces,Gun Control,Baby Sitting,Birthdays,Sexual Harassment,and a Doctor who operates out a Subaru.
The cast includes: Amy Wolpa (Take Care,Cross) Lejon "Pirate" Stewart (Pirates of the Caribbean Dead:Man's Chest and Pirates of the Caribbean: The Black Pearl) Peter Podgursky, Cindy Fang ,and Kristen DeLuca (Fast and Furious)
I have honestly laughed some much watching every episode and am already a big fan,and have rewatched them. I hope you will enjoy them as well and tell your friends. I think we will see some big stuff coming from Grumpy Panda Films in the future.

Why I think Taylor Swift should be the Bachelorette
I love Taylor Swift and think she would be perfect as the next Bachelorette! here are some of my thinking as to why she would be the perfect choice.
1. She Loves to Date! and what better way than with 25 different guys!
I do think that Taylor is looking for love in all the wrong places,she is dating Musicians,Actors etc. And those are the type to avoid, if looking for someone to spend a lifetime with.It does work for some famous couples,but why not try something different? That maybe is why she is not finding the true love of her life. But why not ordinary guys? she just needs to find a good guy and the Bachelorette would be a great opportunity,and would offer her a way to "date" a whole spectrum of men .
2. She is America's Sweetheart. I think it would be the biggest ratings ever for a network.
she is so likable that everyone would just enjoy watching that side of Taylor Swift!
3.She is ready for love. it is obvious that she is wanting a "relationship" that's why we see her with so many guys in the news.
4.She doesn't need the money. they pay the Bachelorette to do the show. she could donate that to charity.
5.She is a true romantic. and it would be fun to see what type of dates she would pick and it could be all over the world!
The only downside is maybe the security issues involved and stuff related to that. but they could take care of it as a network.and she has her own "team" to also keep her safe.
also guys may be in it for all of the wrong reasons and well we have watched that unfold,but she is a smart women and i think it could only help Taylor and her quest to find true love.
Also,and i say this jokingly,LOL, that she could have enough material for a future album if she writes a song about Greg,Robert,Peter,James,Jerry,Larry, Bradley ......
