David Bowie - The Stars (Are Out Tonight)

‘The Ventriloquist’ short film starring Kevin Spacey

Documentary Short on 'The Empire Strikes Back' Found footage

I just love this! as a big fan of not only all of the Star Wars movies but movies in general.we can now watch excerpts from the lost 1980 Michel Parbot documentary with almost 30 minutes of never before seen behind-the-scenes footage from The Empire Strikes Back! including interviews with the director Irvin Kershner and stars Mark Hamill and Harrison Ford. There's some great scenes with the cast and crew shooting in the freezing cold in Norway, acting as the ice planet Hoth, and dealing with the creatures like Tauntauns and Wampas. I wish featurettes and documentaries like this on films from decades ago weren't so hard to come by,but thanks to YouTube and other web sources we can enjoy them today.

Stranded a book by Jeff Probst and Chris Tebbetts

Survivor fans! Jeff Probst wrote a book! besides being the Host of the Hit  Reality Show Survivor, and also having his own Talk Show, now Jeff can add Author to his many credits. Is there anything Jeff can't do?I love Survivor and can't wait to get this book.My 3 kids are all excited about reading it also.

Jeff wrote this book for kids But Adults are loving it also.I remember an interview he did (see below) he said he had the idea for this book, when kids who where  fans of Survivor where now actually growing up and playing on  Survivor.

taken from the interview he had with Entertainment Weekly Assistant Managing Editor Dalton Ross

EW: Bonus Question That is Not Really a Question: Big week for you, sir! Your book Stranded just hit stores as well. Give us one reason to go spend our hard earned money on it.
PROBST: STRANDED is for middle grade kids, probably 8-12 years old.  Though I’m hearing 7 year olds are reading it) It’s Survivor for kids.  Mom and Dad get married, each bringing two kids into the marriage.  They send the kids on a weekend sailing trip with their favorite Uncle Dex so they can “get to know each other.”  But a sudden storm shipwrecks them and they end up STRANDED on an island alone.  No adults.  It’s the first of a trilogy.  So far the early reads have been good and after only a few days we are already top 10 in children’s new releases.  I say thank you to all of the loyal survivor parents and young Survivor fans!  Oh – one other reason to give it a shot – we priced it to be very affordable at $6.99!! Even cheaper through Scholastic book club!

Taken from the overview page:

A family vacation becomes a game of survival!
It was supposed to be a vacation—and a chance to get to know each other better. But when a massive storm sets in without warning, four kids are shipwrecked alone on a rocky jungle island in the middle of the South Pacific. No adults. No instructions. Nobody to rely on but themselves. Can they make it home alive?
A week ago, the biggest challenge Vanessa, Buzz, Carter, and Jane had was learning to live as a new blended family. Now the four siblings must find a way to work together if they're going to make it off the island. But first they've got to learn to survive one another.

Compulsive Love A new web series about a guy searching for love...

I love when i check my email and get a opportunity to help spread the word about a new Web series! Thanks Kevan!

Compulsive Love is a new Web Series written by Adam Szymkowicz,directed/produced by Kevan Tucker  and produced by Aaron Edel and Tim O'Neill.

This series is a story about a guy Aaron, a hopeless romantic (played by Alex Anfanger)and his search for love and the crazy dating situations that he encounters,as he falls in love with a new girl in every episode.

Compulsive Love was a Indiegogo project and had a goal of $7,500 and raised $8,201 (way to go!)

I really liked that they had some really fun and cool titles for the perks they offered for contributions, which I thought was great and may be a help to anyone wanting to do a Indiegogo project for their web series!

Jack White speech on "wake up" the masses to the beauty of record shops, off-screen art, and face-to-face interaction in general

Jack White is the Record Store Day Ambassador of 2013 Record store day is April 20 2013.

Years ago someone told me that 1,200 high school kids were given a survey. A question was posed to them: Have you ever been to a stand-alone record shop? The number of kids that answered "yes" was... zero.

Zero? How could that be possible? Then I got realistic and thought to myself, "Can you blame them?" How can record shops (or any shop for that matter) compete with Netflix, TiVo, video games that take months to complete, cable, texting, the Internet, etc. etc? Getting out of your chair at home to experience something in the real world has started to become a rare occurrence, and to a lot of people, an unnecessary one. Why go to a bookstore and get a real book? You can just download it. Why talk to other human beings, discuss different authors, writing styles and influences?  Just click your mouse.  Well here's what they'll someday learn if they have a soul; there's no romance in a mouse click.  There's no beauty in sitting for hours playing video games (anyone proud of that stop reading now and post your opinion in the nearest forum).  The screen of an iPhone is convenient, but it’s no comparison to a 70mm showing of a film in a gorgeous theater. The Internet is two-dimensional…helpful and entertaining, but no replacement for face-to-face interaction with a human being.  But we all know all of that, right?  Well, do we?  Maybe we know all that, but so what?

Let's wake each other up.

The world hasn't stopped moving. Out there, people are still talking to each other face-to-face, exchanging ideas and turning each other on. Art houses are showing films, people are drinking coffee and telling tall tales, women and men are confusing each other and record stores are selling discs full of soul that you haven’t felt yet.  So why do we choose to hide in our caves and settle for replication?  We know better.  We should at least. We need to re-educate ourselves about human interaction and the difference between downloading a track on a computer and talking to other people in person and getting turned onto music that you can hold in your hands and share with others.  The size, shape, smell, texture and sound of a vinyl record; how do you explain to that teenager who doesn't know that it's a more beautiful musical experience than a mouse click?  You get up off your ass, you grab them by the arm and you take them there.  You put the record in their hands.  You make them drop the needle on the platter.  Then they'll know.

Let's wake each other up.

As Record Store Day Ambassador of 2013 I’m proud to help in any way I can to invigorate whoever will listen with the idea that there is beauty and romance in the act of visiting a record shop and getting turned on to something new that could change the way they look at the world, other people, art, and ultimately, themselves.

Let's wake each other up.

I want to be on a reality show! someone help me out!

So when the Reality Show phenomenon happened. I have wanted to be on one! I have three that i am really interested in.but not sure if it will ever happen.I guess you just have to submit to them and see what will happen.I would do them to play the game and not for the money.

Now i have already applied to be on Survivor before, but that was years ago. I guess my tape sucked or ?it is really hard to convey what or why in 3 minutes or less. And with so many people applying it is hard to really compete with millions of people doing what you are trying to do.I feel like it is elementary school Dodge ball ,and i was always second to  last to get picked.I will tell which 3 i would be great at and why.

Survivor is my first love! I watched it since day one! My favorite books are Survival type books and movies like Alive,Papillion, ect.I like camping and the outdoors.I have even slept out in the winter in a tent for my few years as assistant Scout Master. I would just love the experience of just being on and playing the game.I would do really well at this I hope..I would be able to get along great with anybody.and would have alot of ideas and skills for the game.I would make a blanket out of bark or whatever i could find, so i wouldn't freeze at night sleeping, and you would see me fishing and helping out making a fire ect.Because i am from Idaho,I really enjoy fishing and camping.I did apply once to Survivor along time ago, then because of being the sole Job holder at the time,I didn't pursue it any further. It didn't feel right at the time.plus i had developed insulin resistance and it stopped me for a time.but i have that all under control now.My  kids are older, and things are better.I just have this burning desire to do this.so i could go and play the game.I would love to see if i would have what it takes to play this game, that i love so much. And if i made it to the jury i would be happy.I wouldn't play it for the money just for the experience.I am maybe not the "character"that they would want Rugged Handsome guy with ripped muscles,Crazy people types. but can you have a show with all great people? No, i think you could have an average guy on,and i have seen some that have been on survivor, and think they do not do anything for the game they do not get any real talk time in.i could do better!I just do not know how i would be until i was in the game. Bring it on!

Big Brother became another show i just have really enjoyed.I would love to be in the house and experience all that the show has to throw at me.I have no problem with living with all types of people. And in my life i have always been the one ,that people come to and talk about the frustrations they have with other co workers and just venting in general I have always been a great listener and give great advice.I would be that guy everyone would feel comfortable with in confiding and planning.I also am very good at stirring the pot and taking the gossip to others and great at lying about it ,if confronted. So i am ready to expect the unexpected.I would be the "older guy"in the house and I am not a totally outgoing guy.i would be like "chicken"George or Jack or Howie (the first time he played, not the second time when he came back,he was a jerk)It would be great.if you guys need an older guy! i am your man!

This one i just started watching last season.i was too busy watching all of the other shows, that i didn't want to get invested in another show.I really missed out.Now i want to be on this show.but sadly no one wants to be on it with me. I would be totally fine with them hooking me up with a stranger.we could do it and make it work!I could see myself racing all around the world just playing this game.

I do not think you really need "follow the rules"to send in a tape, they just need to be interested in you and you can do the rest later. You just need to get someones attention.that is why i am posting this.

Well if you know of someone with connections to help me get on a show,or can pass this on to others that would help me in my desire to play on a reality show!

I would also be interested in any new ones.but these our my favorite.

A film by Simon Klose

It was very insightful to watch. The entire one and a half-hour movie just premiered in Europe and is also available for download on the Pirate Bay.The movie details the story behind the Pirate Bay, the beleaguered torrent website that has become the target of nearly every copyright enforcement group. It follows the lives of the TPB founders, Peter Sunde, Fredrik Neij and Gottfrid Svartholm. It premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival today.

House of Cards:a Netflix original series

Holy crap! I just watched a very riveting 1st episode of House of Cards Starring Kevin Spacey as a congressman in Washington. I  think this is probably the most honest look, at what we all think  the government operates. Just my opinion but check it out for yourself!I like it!

Ruthless and cunning, Congressman Francis Underwood (Oscar® winner Kevin Spacey) and his wife Claire (Robin Wright) stop at nothing to conquer everything. This wicked political drama penetrates the shadowy world of greed, sex, and corruption in modern D.C. Kate Mara (“American Horror Story”) and Corey Stoll (“Midnight in Paris”) costar in the first original series from David Fincher (“The Social Network”) and Beau Willimon (“The Ides of March”).

you can watch all of the episodes here!
